Balancing motherhood and a career is challenging, but ANIXE supports its employees from the very start of their parenting journey. Ania, a Senior Client Engagement Manager and a young mother shares how the company offers the flexibility and understanding needed to manage both roles effectively.
How does ANIXE support you as a mother in balancing motherhood and work from the beginning of your journey as a mom?
From the very beginning, I received tremendous support. The company gave me a lot of freedom in deciding when to return to work, how that return should look, and on what terms. I was able to really tailor it to suit myself and my child, which was crucial for my comfort and didn't negatively impact the company. Additionally, the HR team is always ready to offer advice on any topic and suggest actions to take, for example, when we get a sick leave for a child. My team is also very understanding—we all have small children, so we perfectly understand the challenges we face before and after work.
What aspects of working at ANIXE make it easier for you to balance parental responsibilities with your professional life?
Definitely the possibility of remote work and flexible working hours. This is an incredible convenience, especially when a child doesn't want to cooperate in the morning. Thanks to not having to be in the office or at my laptop at 8 a.m. sharp, I avoid running around the house in a panic. If I need to pick up my child earlier, there's no problem either. I can make up the missed hours at a convenient time.
Are there any challenges related to motherhood that you encounter while working at ANIXE?
At the moment, I don't encounter any challenges, and I hope it stays that way!
What do you think is the most valuable aspect of ANIXE's approach to working mothers? Do you have any suggestions on how this could be further improved?
The most valuable aspect is the great kindness I’ve experienced from both the management and employees. Everyone has a positive attitude towards moms returning from maternity leave and wants to help. This gives a sense of value and belonging; a young mother doesn’t feel excluded from the company life. As for suggestions, perhaps it would be worth considering specific support programs for working mothers, although the current approach is already really wonderful.
